WHO IS SPARTA STRENGTH

Sparta Strength is the Ottawa-based personal training business of strength and conditioning coach Christos Georgaras. As a teenager, Chris found purpose and direction in martial arts. Since then, he’s carried a daily passion for fitness and challenging himself with the constant goal of improvement. This has led him to becoming a professional athlete for well over a decade, having trained in Olympic Weight Lifting and many forms of martial arts, winning multiple Muay Thai fights. He takes great pride in being a well-rounded athlete, and truly embodies the relationship between physical and mental strength.

This passion and psychology carries over the way he trains his clients. LOCATION & RATES

Chris trains his clients and athletes out of a private gym located in Westboro, Ottawa. This location has everything you would find in a commercial gym – every machine, a full set of free weights ranging from 5 to 120 pounds, bands and barbells, the list goes on. Plus, being a private location there are no hidden fees as a membership is not required.
Sessions are $60 for one-hour or $40 for a half-hour.

REGAN

 I started working with Christos January 2020 after a tough loss in my fight career. I was very depressed and needed some help. I had some experience lifting but always found it hard to balance lifting effectively with the demands of training for my sport. My goals were to put on considerable size and strength to be more competitive in my weight class. The first week of training I had never been so sore (in a good way) and probably would have taken it way easier on myself if it weren’t for Chris’ support. Over the next 4 years, Chris helped me put on a huge amount of size and strength which made a massive difference in my sport performance and in the way I felt about my body. Prior to training with Chris, I could barely do a proper back squat. Because of him, I was able to surpass my initial goal of 135 (he had me lifting that for reps) and hit almost twice my body weight. He was always consistent and never cancelled a session, which made it impossible for me to make excuses for myself. I later rematched the opponent I had previously lost to and won a North American title! I credit this to many things but a lot of it had to do with the confidence I got from my new found strength from Chris
